If you are planning on building a new high efficiency, high performance, electric home you may be entitled to rebates of up to $5,000. Funding amounts are as follows:
• $2,000 when you purchase ENERGY STAR® appliances for New Homes or if they have an EnerGuide rating of 20% above building code
• $5,000 for an R-2000 home or EnerGuide rating of 50% above building code
The New Home Energy Efficiency Rebate Program aims to help homeowners with reducing their energy consumption by going beyond the minimums outlined in the National Building Code.
